Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 3 February, 2010 : - - The Rip Curl Pro Search is a special event on the ASP World Tour—unique as the only contest that relocates to a new destination every year in search of perfect waves. The 2009 event took the world’s best surfers to Peniche, Portugal in November, and it was one of the most exciting ASP events of the year.

The title fight between two-time winner Mick Fanning and Joel Parkinson flared up, superstar teenager Owen Wright proved why he’s surfing’s next best thing and Hawaiian teenager Coco Ho won her first Dream Tour event.
