Ocean Minded, Inc. Announces Sponsorship of Bethany Hamilton

Hamilton, world renown for her determination and courage, lives her life with a purpose and spirit that is unparalleled.

Bethany joins the Ocean Minded™ team on her 18th birthday and is focused on finishing the Women’s World Qualifying Series (WQS) in a prime position, where she is currently seated third. Recently, she achieved her career best when she reached the semifinals at the Roxy Surf Festival in Phillip Island, Australia.

“There isn’t a surfer on the planet that better defines the phrase ‘Ocean Minded’”, stated Bob Tanner, Ocean Minded’s Director of Marketing. “Bethany is a source of inspiration for people all over the world, and we are thrilled to have her as a Brand Ambassador”.

Five Years ago Hamilton shocked the world with her undying passion after losing her left arm in a vicious shark attack on the North Shore of Kauai, Hawaii, her home.  With her commitment to surfing unscathed, Bethany was back in the water a month later and immediately became an international symbol of bravery, perseverance and strength. It is with that same drive and devotion that she competes today on the WQS tour.
